About the Role & Vision

As a

Software Engineer

, you will build backend services and integrations connecting financial data to user-facing applications. You will work across data ingestion, two-way sync, business workflows, and web/mobile UI—owning features from design through deployment in production.

What You Will Own

Backend Services & APIs:

Design and maintain high-performance Go backend microservices, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL schemas for transactional financial workflows.

Tally Cloud Connector:

Own our desktop-to-cloud integration engine built on .NET/C#, maintaining two-way synchronization, automated retries, duplicate suppression, and financial reconciliation.

Frontend & Dashboards:

Build responsive Next.js interfaces, complex financial data tables, and analytics views with optimized client- vs. server-side execution.

AI & Document Workflows:

Develop document-processing APIs and agentic Q&A workflows with strict validation guardrails for financial accuracy.

Mobile Adaptation:

Assist in extending the core web platform to cross-platform mobile apps (React Native / Expo / Capacitor) with secure mobile authentication.

Performance & Reliability:

Optimize query execution, API latencies, and rendering pipelines; implement observability, monitoring, and robust CI/CD pipelines.

What We Are Looking For

1+ years of full-time, non-internship experience

shipping and maintaining production software.

Backend Expertise:

Hands-on experience with

Go

(primary backend language). Strong production experience in Java, Rust, or C++ is acceptable if you can ramp up on Go quickly.

Database & Architecture Fundamentals:

Experience designing relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), writing efficient SQL, and handling transactions, indexing, caching, and async pipelines.

Frontend Skills:

Proficiency with React / Next.js, displaying complex dataset visualizations with explicit handling of edge, error, and loading states.

DevOps & Cloud:

Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD, and AWS deployments.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Exposure to .NET/C# (for the Tally connector) and cross-platform mobile frameworks (React Native, Expo, Capacitor).

Ownership Mindset:

Demonstrated history of turning ambiguous requirements into scalable, fault-tolerant solutions.
