Software Engineer

Role Description

The Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of JobBeeper’s core platform and services, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, improving existing functionality, writing clean and testable code, and collaborating with product, design, and QA teams to deliver user-centered solutions. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, optimizing back-end systems and APIs, and participating in code reviews and technical discussions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, working closely with a cross-functional team to enhance the experience of job seekers worldwide.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.

Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-quality applications.

Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.

Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.

Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with modern development tools and workflows (version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks).

Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and to participate in collaborative code reviews.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment.

Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices, or distributed systems is a plus.

Interest in building scalable platforms that improve the job search experience for diverse users.
