The Apprentice Program is designed to provide hands-on, real-world experience through structured on-the-job training within live projects. Apprentices will work closely with Jacobs' senior professionals and project managers, gaining exposure to technical practices, project delivery processes, and organizational culture.
This position is an Apprentice role under the Government of India’s Apprentices Act, 1961, and is part of a structured 1-year training program. As per the regulations and eligibility criteria prescribed under the Act, Jacobs is required to adhere to the government-mandated guidelines for apprentice engagement. Therefore, it is mandatory for all applicants to meet the specified eligibility requirements.
A well-motivated and creative Graduate Mechanical (Preferred), or Chemical Engineer with excellent numerical, logical, and analytical ability who wants to work in Business Development / Sales – Operations for Design Consulting on multi-disciplinary engineering projects. The work will include support Sales – Operation function with primary focus on supporting Bidding and Post Bid process with coordination with sales and operations, managing proposal timelines, support documentation, pricing and related activities by applying software / MS office, Excel tools as applicable. This is a growth position for the right candidate looking to make the next step in their career in Sales and Marketing. The role includes-
Provide Sales – Operations support to Business Development Dept.
Understand proposal / RFP management process and assist senior Sales – Ops leads for proposal preparations, processes related to NDA, CDRS, etc.
Documenting the entire bidding process for future references
Tracking proposal developments, follow up with respective stakeholders, etc.
Regularly track Billtrax / search engines for exploring data for future prospects
Working on CVs, Compiling CVs for proposals, keep a library of CVs
Ability to listen, understand and follow instructions.
Shows flexibility in work tasks and locations.
Successfully and effectively complete the Graduate Development Program.
Here's what you'll need
Bachelor's in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
Academic passing year 2026.
No dead or live backlogs/ATKT.
Minimum 7 CGPA throughout all semesters.
Candidates must not have any prior work experience.
Good Business communication skills with fluency in English
Candidates with a master's degree are eligible only if their bachelor's degree was completed within four years of the application date. Therefore, a B.Tech degree completed before 2022 would not meet this requirement.
Candidates must not be registered on the NATS portal.
Internship, academic project, or industrial training experience related to engineering design or project delivery is preferred
Apprentice Eligibility Requirements
As this opportunity falls under the Apprentices Act, 1961, applicants must additionally meet the following criteria
Must be eligible for apprenticeship training under the Government of India guidelines.
Must not have previously undergone apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Must satisfy all eligibility conditions prescribed by the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and applicable government regulations.
